Salt in Wound Mysteries Presents: Tim Lincecum

Geoge Steinbrenner rode into the All-Star game with a full medical team. Willie McCovey somehow managed to make it, even though he was unable to walk. But Tim Lincecum didn't show up because of "flu-like" symptoms. None of the reports I've read simply called it "the flu." Because, let's face it, he's just another kid who got shit-faced on his big trip to New York. A lot of players had parties Monday night. So where are the pictures?

from today's chronicle:
The pitcher's father filled in some of the details of his son's illness, saying, "He had major-league dehydration. It was a combination of flying in from the Chicago game, a delayed flight. He didn't land until 1 in the morning."
After attending the Monday All-Star events, Tim Lincecum returned to his hotel and awoke the next morning with dizziness. The hotel did not have an in-house doctor, so medics were called and Lincecum was taken to a hospital, where he was given intravenous fluids, his father said, adding, "It was all precautionary."
what's the implication of the flight being delayed? is it that he had to drink more? and which monday all-star events did he attend? come on, journalists!
What, no pictures on Deadspin yet? ;)
