My father was a reporter who covered TV for the AP. It was an especially proud moment for me when he was quoted under a large ad for "Kung Fu" that ran in the L.A. Times. I forget the exact quote, of course, but it had one line that went something like, "...eschews the usual violence of the Hollywood western." I didn't know the word "eschew" but it had the word "chew" in it, so the closest I could figure was that it had some really meaty violence. I thought my Dad had it wrong, he must not have watched the show very carefully, butt still, I was pleased to see his name associated with the show.
