but those countries seem evenly matched. where's the mismatch? where's the mismatch?!
Slowly, doctors are realizing the effects of men repeatedly smashing their heads against others (even while wearing helmets). I recall my own mother not allowing my brothers to play football because of their KNEES. Pretty soon, all the head injury cases in nursing homes will push more people to soccer in the US. I give it 50 years and football will be done. Baseball season, then soccer season.
I made my own decision not to play football, simply because everyone was heavier than I was. Now at age 39 with perfect knees, it was the right call.
Incidentally, long-time soccer players typically show signs of head trauma from heading the ball. I'll dig up one of the medical studies.
As for the mismatch, the pairings haven't been determined yet, but those countries won't be playing each other. Think England, Germany, Spain.
late getting back to this thread, but that is a mismatch! and frank, just admit it was your mother's decision.
